In a distant land, where forests whispered softly and the wind carried the scent of wild herbs, lived Eldana Saryn – a shamaness whose gaze could calm even the most restless soul. It was said she knew the taste of every season and could see meaning where others saw only emptiness.
One day, a young woman came to Eldana’s hut, weary and faded from chasing something she could not name.
“I’m searching for what might give my life meaning,” she said, sitting at the doorstep.
Eldana said nothing. She stood, pointed to an old birch by the hut, and said:
“This tree has stood here for generations. It asks for nothing more than the earth gives – and that is its strength.”
Then she led the woman to a stream, where water flowed gently, washing over stones.
“Water does not fight obstacles,” she added. “It flows around them.”
The woman watched for a long time. Then she whispered:
“Is it enough – just to endure?”
Eldana smiled softly.
“It’s enough to feel that life asks no more than what you already carry.”
When the woman returned to her world, nothing outside had changed – but in her eyes, there was peace.
