In the heart of a bustling city, among palaces and fountains, lived Bayran Sulu – a shamaness known by all, yet understood by few. Dressed in silk and surrounded by splendor, she could summon truth with silence – the kind many tried to drown in gold.
One evening, a woman came to her. Known for her beauty and influence, her voice trembled.
“I live for the admiration of others,” she confessed. “I’m afraid that without it, I’m worth nothing.”
Bayran looked at her gently.
“Do you want to know your true worth?” she asked.
“Tomorrow at dawn, stand in the town square. Say nothing. Don’t smile. Show nothing that might adorn you. Just be.”
The woman hesitated, but she went. No one noticed her. The crowd passed without a glance.
When she returned to the shamaness, her face was pale.
“I was invisible,” she whispered.
Bayran handed her a mirror and said softly,
“Now look. What you see is yourself without applause. Can you love her? Because if you can – you will never be poor again.”
The legend of Bayran Sulu lived on as a tale that true wealth shines like the sun – not because someone is watching, but because it knows no other nature than to shine.
